I'd like to do a large scale Washington dreadnought for my own collection, but I can't really justify the cost for a one-off. I hope that enough of you like the ship and that you'd also like to see a large scale one and add it to your own collection as well.
The largest I could do on my own would be 1/1000, and that's really pushing it. More likely I would be limited to 1/1400. The thing is, I personally want it in 1/350. So I'm going to be looking for a master modeler to do this build up and casting. Please feel free to contact me if you're interested (dymihail AT gmail DOT com).
The goal would be to make this a top tier kit, pulling out all the stops. That includes clear and colored parts for lighting, etc. Final kit cost would depend on which scale we end up with and what materials are chosen. Clear fiberglass costs substantially more than clear resin, frex, though might be better for the larger scales. Richard of Sovereign Replicas made an absolutely fantastic 1/350 K'Tinga battlecruiser that now retails for $450. Keep in mind the Washington is ~2.x the volume of the K'Tinga. So we'll see on price.
Right now I'm just looking to see if there's interest and in what scale. I've set the voting to allow multiple choices, but please don't abuse it. Please don't vote if you're not serious about getting one.

George Washington quotes for motto:
"Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action."
"Nothing can be more hurtful to the service, than the neglect of discipline; for that discipline, more than numbers, gives one army the superiority over another. "
"To be prepared for war is one of the most effective means of preserving peace."
